This Tuesday, September 3 at 11am the Prime Minister named Fritz William Michel https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-28308-haiti-flash-jovenel-moise-appoints-his-4th-prime-minister.html is expected at the Chamber of Deputies to present his declaration of its general policy, decision taken at a conference of Presidents of the Lower House organized yesterday Monday. Also the indictment of President Jovenel Moïse and the ineligibility of Fritz William Michel, for lack of discharge [for the period 2009-2011, when he was chief accountant at the Directorate General of the Budget at the Ministry of the Economy and Finance (MEF)], put forward by opposition deputies, will not feature on the agenda of the meeting.

Recall that a meeting of the Prime Minister scheduled for Friday, August 23 was postponed "sine die". According to our information, the report on Prime Minister Fritz William Michel's document was not signed by two members of the special commission charged with analyzing the PM's nominated documents, deputies Jean Marcel Lumérant and Roger Millien, for reasons of reservs, especially on the methodology of case processing.

It remains to be seen whether there will be sufficient number of deputies on the roll-call, if some of them will not decide to ransack the House's equipment or disrupt the session, as it was the case in the last few sessions these last months...

Alumnus of College Catts Pressoir, the Prime Minister appointed, Fritz William Michel (38 years) was until September 2018, Chief of Staff of the Minister of Economy and Finance, a ministry where he held various positions: Technician at the Directorate of Studies and Budget Programming, Chief Accountant at the Directorate General of the Budget and Administrative and Financial Director at the Inspectorate General of Finance. From December 2011 to July 2012, he was Administrative and Financial Director at the Ministry of Agriculture. Fritz William Michel is unknown to the political class. He speaks Creole, French and English and is married with one child.
