On Friday, Under-Secretary of State for Political Affairs David Hale arrived in Haiti to plead in favor of an end to the stalemate in the country.

This is his second visit to Haiti from Hale since the beginning of the year and the 5th US mission around the crisis, since the beginning of the year.

In the morning, David Hale met in camera at the National Palace with President Jovenel Moïse, including Chancellor Bocchit Edmond and accredited US Ambassador to Haiti Michele Sison. During the talks, the US Under-Secretary of State stressed the need to give Haitians a functional Government and a more prosperous future, saying "Leaders must work together to protect human rights and fight corruption."

For his part President Moïse reaffirmed to Trump's envoy his willingness to dialogue "Today, I spoke with the Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs, David Hale to whom I reaffirmed my desire to dialogue with all sectors to bring peace back to Haiti;" said the Head of State

After meeting at the Palace, David Hale met later in the day with political leaders Pacha Vorbe (Fanmi Lavalas), Éric Jean-Baptiste (RDNP), Liné Balthazard (PHTK), Rosemond Pradel (Fusion-Mache Kontre), Youri Latortue (Alternative Consensual), Bernard Craan (Passerelle) and Senator Joseph Lambert who reaffirmed in unison that the solution to the crisis was the unconditional resignation of the Head of State...

In short, everyone remains on his position, the President advocates inclusive dialogue, the opposition wants his resignation unconditional and the United States is getting impatient and want all parties to come together to end the crisi in Haiti.
