Haiti - FLASH: The Ministry of Justice evoke an attempted Coup 25/02/2020 07:46:59

The Minister wonders "[...] what may be the future of the country and of the police institution, when law enforcement officials, using their status and the State equipment entrusted to them to serve and protect the population, join forces with illegally armed individuals to attack citizens and their brothers in arms of the Haitian Police and Armed Forces ?" Aly invites the police to reflect and urges them to "pull themselves together, by privileging the way of dialogue for the peaceful resolution of this crisis" and asks them to take "their distance from all these dishonest acts, unworthy of the police officer and to guarantee the security of the population and the safety of the institutions of the Republic."
