Country closure :

DOMINICAN REPUBLIC :
Situation Friday 20 March:
Friday in press conference Rafael Sánchez Cárdenas the Minister of Public Health said that 70 active cases of Covid-19 had been confirmed and are in isolation. Of the 271 people under active surveillance, 132 tests were negative, 78 people were placed in segregation at home and 61 in hospital segregation. 23 test results are expected.
Confirmed cases have been detected mainly in four provinces of the country: National District, Samana, Santiago and Puerto Plata.
No more public transport :

Curfew in force throughout the country :
President Danilo Medina has declared a national curfew from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. from Friday, March 20 until Friday, April 3. Twenty people in violation in the capital were arrested and released at the end of the curfew.
Jérôme Salomon, the Director General of Health, announced that 5,226 cases were hospitalized, 1,297 of them being in intensive care specifying "Half of the people in intensive care are under 60 years old [...] Since the first case in the French territory 1,600 patients have left hospitals and are considered cured."
