Haiti - Politic : Official inauguration of the Marion Dam 02/05/2021 09:13:44
After the unveiling of the inaugural plaque of the dam and the opening of the sluices by the Head of State, the latter declared "Irrefutable proof that together, we can achieve wonders in our country" before boasting during more than an hour the efforts made under his presidency to drill, renovate and/or build roads, build hydraulic dams, irrigation canals, water pumping stations and power plants. In addition, the Head of State announced that the National Directorate of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DINEPA) would establish on the dam site a water treatment center to supply drinking water, in a first time, the families of Grand-Bassin, then those of Perches and Terrier-Rouge. Finally, this dam is also intended to produce electric current.
