Judge Lisette Reid in the presence of her assistants and prosecutor Andrea Goldbarg asked him if he had spoken with his lawyer about the request for a 30-day hearing postponement, Jaar answered yes and also answered yes when the magistrate told him asked if he understood what he was doing and if he agreed.
