Haiti - FLASH : The powerful Leader of the «400 wawozo» gang extradited to the USA
Germine Joly alias "Yonyon" Leader of the powerful "400 Mawozo" gang incarcerated in the national penitentiary since 2015, accused of kidnapping, kidnapping for ransom, rape, armed robbery, murder, illegal possession of a firearm and criminal association was extradited Tuesday, May 3, 2022 to the United States aboard a special FBI plane informs us the National Police of Haiti (PNH).

Despite his incarceration, "Yonyon" continued to lead his gang from the penitentiary, planning several kidnapping cases from his cell.

This extradition follows a request for mutual legal assistance produced by the American judicial authorities on April 22.

Let's recall that "Yonyon" was under an International warrant issued by the United States District Court for the District of Columbia for the following charges :

1- Conspiracy and violation of the United States Export and Contraband Control Reform Act;
2- Importation of weapons of war;
3- Kidnapping followed by sequestration against ransom of American citizens.

For its part, the National Police continues to track down members of the "400 Mawozo" gang. During multiple operations organized in recent days, several of these members were fatally injured in exchanges of fire or arrested.
