Haiti - Petit-Goâve: Guy Philippe on the Place d’Armes dalivered a «revolutionary» speech

Thursday, December 28, 2023 in Petit-Goâve, Guy Philippe walked several streets of the city center before delivering a unifying speech with clearly revolutionary overtones in the Place d'Armes, in front of a delirious crowd committed to his cause, an unifying speech with clearly revolutionary overtones where he virulently attacked the “Whites”, the Embassies and the central authorities and castigated the bad behavior of the international community, quoting the words of Emperor Faustin Soulouque "To the force, we will respond with force" triggering thunderous applause.
Excerpt from Guy Philippe's speech:
"The 'Whites' are also responsible for the destruction of Haiti. Haitians are not the only culprits. I repeat: 'White people' are responsible for the chaotic situation in our country. Embassies also have a large share of responsibility in the current state of Haiti... It is therefore up to Haitians to stand up and say with one voice: NO! That is enough ! We're fed up! This has to stop...
As Faustin Soulouque said 'To force, I will respond with force'. Today we have a greater strength, it is our will as human beings, it is our will as a people to make the “whites” understand that we are tired of being their slaves. ministers, directors have become rich while our people are floundering in poverty… They are also responsible for insecurity and widespread banditry practiced by young people [...]"
