Haiti - Diplomacy : The President Martelly in Kinshasa in October ?
Last Thursday, in a press conference, Ady Jean Gardy, the Minister of Communications and Special Envoy of Haiti in the 19th African Union Summit held in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) is returned on certain aspects of its mission and on the positive outcomes for Haiti "[...] We participated in this meeting from July 9 to 16, 2012 and we are also passed to Paris to meet various other personalities in preparation for the upcoming trip of President of the Republic, in October, to the conference of Kinshasa.

[...] During my stay in Addis Ababa, we talked with numerous African personalities and we invited some Head of State of West Africa, Central, Eastern and Southern Africa to come to Haiti [...] we will wait for the next few weeks and especially at the next meeting in Kinshasa in October, in order to confirm the arrival, before the end of the year of certain African Head of State, who are very interested by a cooperation with Haiti.

[...] During this meeting in Addis Ababa, we have enormously closer the Republic of Haiti of the Presidency of the African Union, ie Mrs. Dlamini-Zuma of South Africa, whose country hopes to strengthen cooperation with Haiti.

[...] I also inform you, that for the next conference of black French Head of State in October, in Kinshasa. We insisted that the President of the Republic, His Excellency Michel Martelly, can not only participate, but for the declaration of the next conference, be drafted by the Republic of Haiti, in order to be able to expose the Government's vision, in terms of global governance and the participation of Haiti as the First black state in America and also, First State to request the inclusion of Africans of the diaspora, within the African Union, a participation decisive.

[...] We have also initiated discussions with key institutions in Africa, including the African Development Bank and representatives of certain countries, observers in the African Union, notably Saudi Arabia and China. For example Kuwait, said it was ready o provide Haiti with nearly $100 million in telecommunication programs and food security [...]"
