Haiti - Tourism : Michaëlle Jean on tour this weekend in the North 02/12/2012 10:37:42
This weekend, Michaëlle Jean, UNESCO Special Envoy for Haiti, on mission in the country from 27 November to 4 December, accompanied by Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin the Minister of Tourism, the Canadian Ambassador Jacques Bilodeau and several other personalities, is on tour in the North in order to identify the potential of the region and visit different worksites, including Milot.
During his tour, Ms. Jean will visit among others : the sites of the Citadel La Ferriere and of Sans Souci Palace. Meetings in Milot, with the authorities of the municipalities of Dondon, Plaine du Nord and Milot near the National Historic Park are on its agenda, in order to take stock of the situation on the development of these zones.
She should also visit the New Northern Industrial Park and speak with Jean Mary Théodate, the President of the Board of new University Campus of Limondade, as well as students of this university. Recall that Ms. Jean is a member of the Executive Council of Campus Roi Henri Christophe.
