Haiti - Diplomacy : High Level Training Seminar on Protocol

The Office of Management and Human Resources (OMRH), organizes, in partnership with the Ecole Nationale d'Administration in Paris, a training seminar on the Protocol for the benefit of employees of the Presidency, the Primature and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (first session) and later for the benefit of employees of other entities (second session). These sessions thaty will be hosted by Mr. Alain Aumis, will be held at the Ritz Kinam II, in Petion-Ville from Monday 19 to Friday, August 23, 2013.

During this training seminar, participants will enhance their knowledge on the set of rules concerning etiquette, the precedence in the circumstances and official ceremonies. They will also learn to not to neglect the smallest details regarding the ceremony. In addition, they will deepen the general concepts that are the backbone of the protocol : agreement, act, etiquette, convention, decorum, running, shape, form, standard, minutes, rule, rite, ritual and treated.

In this perspective, the main concern of OMRH is to strengthen as much as possible, the Protocol service of institutions of the Central administration of the State.

The OMRH recalls that "if the reception given by Haitians to foreign is considered as exemplary, is that we are a people steeped of diplomatic subtleties where a single gap can be grossly enlarged. Whether it is state visits, official, of work, or private our protocol cells must always be current. It is equally important for the interpretation and translation in order to avoid misunderstandings or mishaps."
