Statement of MHAVE :

"The Office of Communication and Public Relations of the Ministry of Haitians Living Abroad (MHAVE) informes the press in general and particularly the diaspora, especially compatriots living in the Dominican Republic; that the launch event of the Identification Program and Documentation of Haitian Immigrants (PIDIH)scheduled for Tuesday, July 15, 2014 has been postponed to Wednesday, July 16, 2014.

This postponement was due to technological adjustments required on certain material from various partner entities involved in this process. Since the data collected must be recorded in real time on different systems of the Haitian state, technicians have requested an extension of 24 hours to ensure a better final calibration.

We assure our citizens in Dominican Republic :

- The PIDIH program will indeed be launched Wednesday, July 16, 2014;

- The price of single envelope of PIDIH remains fixed at one thousand (1,000) PESOS for all compatriots living in the Dominican Republic.

The Ministry of Haitians Living Abroad reiterates its commitment to invest without retained in this priority project of the Haitian state which is aligned with the political vision of the Administration Martelly / Lamothe."
