In a note, the Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES) provides important details on the "Kore Etidyan" program (2013-2014). Note that the subsidy is 2,000 gourdes per student for a total of 18,000 gourdes per student for the entire academic year.

As a dedicated program for academics, criteria have been established and must be respected stressing that if a student does not or no longer receives the subsidy, it is because it is probably not or no longer eligible for this welfare program.

To be eligible, students must, among other ::

• Being a student of a faculty of the State University of Haiti (UEH), a Public University in Region (UPR), or in a School of higher education eligible for the program ;

• Attend school regularly during the academic ye ;

• Having a National Identification Card (CIN) ;

• Have a cell phone.

Is not eligible :

• Any student who does not meet the above criteria ;

• Any student who has not had an academic performance with an average equal to or greater than 65% (for older students) ;

• Any student "mémorant" or already graduated ;

• Any student who remade the academic year or has been subject to disciplinary action.

Important aspects :

• For identity codes, the CIN is compulsory instead of the Tax Identification Number (NIF), any student who has not made ​​the change in the allotted time will not receive any allowance for the academic year 2013- 2014 ;

• Any student whose name is not on the list provided by the Dean's Office to the FAES, will be excluded from the program.

Recall that the subprogram "Kore Etidyan" is part of the National Social Assistance "Ede pèp" program, created by the Government Martelly-Lamothe in order to provide direct assistance to the population. "Kore Etidyan" consists in a transfer of cash to students of UEH, UPRs and higher education schools eligible for the program.
