Monday at the Hotel Kinam, the 11 members of the Presidential Consultative Commission formed by the Head of State https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-12638-haiti-politic-investiture-of-members-of-the-presidential-consultative-commission.html , responsible for ensuring the synthesis of consultations undertaken by the President Martelly with various sectors and make recommendations to resolve the pre-electoral crisis, received for the last time the Head of State and the President of the Senate before handing Tuesday officially their report to the President of the Republic.

Later in the evening the 11 members of the Presidential Commission signed the document and put an end to their work. The President Martelly suggested that it will decide within 48 hours following the official presentation of the report.

However, the work of the Commission did not proceed without divergence, Gabriel Fortuné, the former departmental representative of the South, who had already left the government with "crash" on February 2012 and, with Senator Youri Latortue, played a large role in the impeachment of Senator Rudolph Boulos, accused Réginald Boulos, the Coordinator of the commission to object to its request for an audit by the Superior Court of Auditors (SCS) of the PetroCaribe funds and the National Fund for Education (FNE). A majority of commissioners had however reminded him that this was not in the terms of reference of Presidential Order dedicating this Commission.

Monday, exceeding its reserve duty, Gabriel Fortuné suggested that the members of the Commission have proposed as a solution to end the crisis: the resignation of Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe, the resignation of Anel Alexis Joseph, President of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary (CSPJ), the dissolution of the current Provisional Electoral Council and the release of political prisoners [...]". However, the information provided to the press on this report, has not taken place, we are not able to confirm that this proposal are really in the report, it will be necesary to wait for the official version to find out what exactly are the proposals of the Commission, who can confirm or not what Mr. Fortuné said.

We have just been informed that the Ceremony of delivery of works of the Consultative Commission will be held at the National Palace, this Tuesday, Dec. 9, at 4:00 pm

"We have recommended to the President to make sacrifices. We asked for the resignation of Mr. Lamothe and the formation of a consensus government. It is for him to take the final decisions to avoid a worsening of the political crisis," declared this Tuesday morning Evans Paul, member of the commission, on a radio of the capital. In addition, the various measures recommended by the Commission should be taken between December 11 and January 12, 2015.
