Haiti - Security : Towards a comprehensive border-monitoring system on the Dominican ? 06/07/2015 13:13:50
They said it was not necessary that the wall to be built along the entire border line, because there already rugged areas that prevent and hinder the passage of illegal migrants and smuggling of all kinds in the Dominican territory. One know only little for the moment on this Phase III and the introduction of this enhanced monitoring system of the border, except that according to several credible but unofficial information and subject to the usual reservations, this might involve the use of satellite imagery, a network of cameras and other electronic detection equipment, mini drones equipped with high resolution camera, the systematic application at the border of biometric controls and the proliferation of motorized military patrols.
