This Tuesday, September 22, at the Hotel Karibe Convention Center, Room Cattleya, the Office of Management and Human Resources [OMRH] in the presence of representatives of the Presidency and Primature, of director general, of deputy director general and and senior officials of different ministries and government agencies, of donors supporting the implementation of the reform and Members of Civil Society will launch the second phase of program KONEKTE (KONesans E Konpetans TEknik).

KONEKTE is a technical support program of the US government to the Haitian government, run by the Consortium MSI/CFET (Management Systems International/Centre de Formation et d’Encadrement Technique) which aims to reinforce the intervention capacities of ministries and public bodies selected in terms of organization, systems, methods and management of procedures, and human resources.

Under the theme "reinforce the management systems of ministries and organizations to improve the services offered to the population", the Phase II of the KONEKTE program, will continue its technical assistance for the modernization of public administration and the renovation of the Haitian Public Service.

Recall that the first phase of implementation of KONEKTE program began in November 2012, under the leadership of OMRH. 7 ministries and various government agencies of the Haitian government have been supported in fulfilling their mission and the full success of their activities through national experts and from the Diaspora placed within them. The development of reading skills and training in education, social protection, customs taxation, agricultural monitoring observatories, information technology, urban planning, public communication, public administration and decentralization and deconcentration are the main areas of intervention that have been the subject of technical assistance.

During the second phase, the program will focus on institutional strengthening of the Haitian government. The program objective is to assist the Government in establishing a fair recruitment process, transparent and competitive to promote policy development and standardize human resources management tools for recruitment and retention of skills in the public sector, managed by OMRH and human resources departments within each ministry.
