Haiti - Japan : Inauguration of the project of the Mixed Community School Botanique of Piquette
As part of the Education component of Japanese Cooperation, Japan's Ambassador to Haiti, Yoshiaki Hatta, in the presence of Sarama Tamoto, Head of Economic Cooperation Department of the Embassy, of Stephen Osias Coordinator of the Peasants' Association Madame Charles, of local authorities, members of the teaching staff as well as parents and students of the school, proceeded at the beginning of the week to the inauguration of the Project of Development of the Mixed Community School Botanique of Piquette (Dep. Artibonite).

Realized under the Assistance Program in the form of Donations to Local Micro-Projects (APL) and following the signature of the donation contract in March 2017 https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-20350-icihaiti-japan-construction-of-the-ecole-mixte-botanique-of-piquette.html between the Embassy of Japan and the Peasant Association of Madame Charles, the project was funded to the tune of 78.748 US dollars for the full development of the Mixed Community School Botanique of Piquette. Including the construction of a building of six classrooms equipped with school furniture and a toilet block. This new building, with access for people with reduced mobility, will enable students to enjoy an improved learning environment that enhances their development and potential.
