Enold J. Joseph the new Minister of Defense said "The Defense Minister and his team met in his Headquarters to participate in the Government's response to help the victims of the Saturday night earthquake [...] the Ministry has deployed a hundred soldiers of the medical service and the Corps of Engineering to help the victims in the towns of Gros Morne and Port-de-Paix."

The geologist engineer, Claude Prépetit, Director General of the Bureau of Mines and Energy (BME) in a bulletin of the Technical Unit of Seismology (UTS) recalls that on Sunday, September 23, 2018, an earthquake of magnitude 5.2 was recorded 57.6 km east of Fort-Liberté, followed by a magnitude 4.4 aftershock and on Monday, September 24th, a slight magnitude 3.6 earthquake occurred at sea 18.3 km northeast of Cap-Haïtien. All these earthquakes are aligned and have been located on the northern fault, which accumulates energy since 1842. The UTS invites the population to be cautious and to listen to the instructions of the Directorate of Civil Protection.

On Saturday Haiti's Infotronic High School (ESIH) conducted selection interviews of the second cohort of young women wishing to participate in online training, on the Haitian platform "Hybrid Technology for Education, Science and Education and Knowledge" (THESS), on Internet productivity tools and introduction to data management. 100 candidates were selected out of a total of 153.
