Haiti - Politic : The formation of a government of opening in deadlock

The acting Prime Minister designated by the Head of State to replace Jean Henry Céant https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-27219-haiti-flash-haiti-has-no-more-government.html , pending to be invited by the Parliament to make the statement of its General Policy, must constitute its ministerial cabinet in agreement with the President Jovenel Moïse.

This cabinet, originally to be established before Easter, was rejected by the Head of State because of the many disagreements between political parties, some refusing to participate in the proposed Opening Government, others posing their conditions while some still remain in indecision.

With this extra time, Moïse hopes to break the deadlock and find a compromise to rally the greatest number.

The Organization of the People in Struggle (OPL), which advocates dialogue, has not yet made a decision but remains convinced of the need for a real political agreement for the formation of a government.

The Fusion Party of the Haitian Social Democrats (FUSION) claims above all a national conference.

The Rally of Progressive National Democrats (RNDP) remains open for participation in the next Government, while stating that the RNDP is ready to serve the country but not a Government

On the other hand, the party VERITE, second party in importance after the PHTK is not opposed to the Prime Minister Lapin and wants to integrate the next Government, but not without some conditions like the insurance of the holding of the next elections and measures to fight against insecurity and poverty in Haiti.

The UNIR-Haiti Party, through its President Clarens Renois, confirmed that he did not plan to be part of the next government and that his party also rejected the idea of taking part.

The hard wing of the opposition for its part, remains closed to any participation in the next government and camp on its positions. Fanmi Lavalas, AAA, "Pitit Dessalin" and the sector of the radical opposition known as "democratic and popular" among others have all rejected the invitations to dialogue of the Head of State. https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-27343-haiti-politic-the-radical-opposition-refuses-any-dialogue-with-the-head-of-state.html
