Friday, May 15, 2020, the number of people infected worldwide by the Coridavirus Covid-19 since the start of the pandemic (Official source), amounted to 4,444,670 confirmed cases (+ 1.84%) + 80,498 in 24 hours (the day before: +85.992). Number of countries infected 188 (+1).

NEWS: Less than 1,300 tests carried out since the start of the epidemic :
Since the start of the epidemic (March 19, 2020) only less than 1,300 tests of Covid-19 have been carried out which worries about the quantity of infected people in circulation, knowing that an infected person can contaminate between 8 to 10 people if it is not taken care of quickly according to Dr Lauré Adrien, Director General of the Ministry of Public Health. If the number of screening tests does not increase significantly, health authorities in Haiti will have difficulty controlling the spread of the Covid-19 coronavirus.

NEWS: Resumption of schools, bad news for Montreal :
Given the unsatisfactory results of Montreal, the Prime Minister of Quebec François Legault declared that the children of the primary will not go back to school before September unlike the rest of Quebec where the students are back in class.

Meanwhile, Jean-François Roberge, the Minister of Education, said on Wednesday that distance education for all high school students could continue in the fall.

NEWS: Easing measures could be postponed to Montreal :
Prime Minister Legault has announced that child care will not reopen until June 1 in the Montreal region and that the reopening of businesses scheduled for May 25 could be jeopardized if the balance sheet does not improve. Furthermore, it does not exclude making it compulsory to wear a mask in public transport.

Tips
Basic advice protect yourself and avoid the spread of Covid-19 as much as possible, in case of introduction in Haiti :

Always cough or sneeze into your sleeves or elbow, never on the other person's face or in your hands;
Use tissues to wipe your hands or face and then throw them in the trash and then wash your hands;
Wash your hands frequently with soap or alcoholic water. You can also use a "sanitizer";
Avoid close contact with someone with flu-like illness and invite them to seek treatment;
Avoid contact with vulnerable people if you are sick;
Avoid greetings like handshakes and kisses;
Avoid touching your nose, eyes and mouth;
Avoid large gatherings as much as possible;
