According to the Ministry of Public Health, 38 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in Haiti (the day before: +39), for a total of 6.371 cases throughout the national territory (40.90% women and 59.10% d 'men) since the first case (March 19, 2020 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-30319-haiti-health-origin-of-the-first-2-cases-of-covid-19-in-haiti.html ).

Imported cases : 99 cases (unchanged) previous (+42 over 4 days https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-31207-haiti-flash-explanation-of-the-ministry-on-the-number-of-imported-cases.html )

Community cases (since March 19) : 6,272 cases

Death : (unchanged). National total 113 deaths.

Healings :: 1,824 people (+275), the day before (+141)

Active cases : (less death and recovery) 4,434 cases (-237), the day before (-102)

People hospitalized : 191 (+1 in 24h), the day before (+14)

Number of suspected cases investigated since March 19 : 13,659 cases (+21 in 24 hours), the day before (+148)

If the Ministry's figures are to be believed, out of a population estimated at 12 million inhabitants in Haiti, there would therefore only be 0.36 people contaminated with Covid-19 per 1,000 inhabitants (36.9 cases per 100,000) However, the few tests performed https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-31213-haiti-covid-19-daily-report-july-6-2020.html perhaps hides a completely different reality…

Number of cases tested since the start of the pandemic : 13,159 (as of July 4).

In comparison, the Dominican Republic has carried out 170,000 tests, which explains the number of cases detected in our neighbors, as in the USA with more than 36 million people tested. This does not necessarily mean that these countries are more contaminated, but simply that their citizens are more screened, which allows to detect more cases and to have a better knowledge of the extent and spread of Covid-19, conversely, the less a country does tests and the less the health authorities know the extent and progression of Covid-19.
