HAITI:
Epidemiological situation:
Disclaimer: Once again, the Ministry of Public Health has not been able to make available daily data "on the situation of Covid-19 in Haiti". Accordingly, the information below on the situation in Haiti is the same as that in our EVE BULLETIN.

According to the Ministry of Public Health, 19 new cases of Covid-19 in 48 hours would have been confirmed in Haiti for the October 3 and 4, 2020 (latest partial data available) previous (+8 cases in 24 hours 2 October) for a total of 8,838 cases nationwide since the first case (March 19, 2020 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-30319-haiti-health-origin-of-the-first-2-cases-of-covid-19-in-haiti.html ).

Death: unchanged since October 1. National total: 229

Healings: : 7,013 people (21 in 48h), previous (+120 in 48h)

Active cases: (less deaths and cures) 1,596 (-2 in 48h in 24 hours), previous (+8 October 2)

Cases tested since the start of the pandemic: 29,115 (+217 in 48 hours as of October 4) This very low number of people tested (screening) explains the low number of reported Covid-19 cases and does not allow to have a real estimate of the cases of Covid-19 in Haiti. Note that in the Dominican Republic, which has a much higher number of cases than Haiti, the number of people tested as of October 5 was more than 17 times that of Haiti (498,081 people tested in DR)
