Haiti - Irene : Internal flights banned until further notice 22/08/2011 18:02:28 NOAA says that along the entire coast of the Dominican Republic (also applicable to Haiti because we have the same coast), the sea level could be higher of 2 to 4 feet that during normal tides. For its part, the Civil Protection reported that the Rivière des Barres and Trois Rivières are in flood in the Northwest. The National Meteorology Centre in conjunction with the Maritime and Navigation Service of Haiti (SEMANAH) prohibits cabotage operations throughout the north coast of Haiti until further notice. The National Office of Civil Aviation (OFNAC) informs that domestic flights to and from the departments of the North, Northeast and Northwest are banned until further notice due to Irene.
