Haiti - Security : The President Martelly talks about the Defence Force of Haiti
Friday, the President Martelly announced that he presented to the various embassies and international donors, the doctrine of the new defense force of Haiti, which will gradually replace the peacekeepers of the UN Mission for Stabilization in Haiti (Minsutah).

"...If the Minustah leaving tomorrow morning, I think there will be a problem in the country [...] everyone can think as he wants, the President of the Republic sees the thing in a different way. Meanwhile, we work to strengthen the police who need support and logistics. We work with the Chief of Police to see when we're done with the prisons which are in under construction, not to be obliged to keep 150 prisoners in a small room, but we must understand that things take time..."
