Haiti - Justice : 23rd anniversary of the assassination of journalist Jean-Léopold Dominique
The Citizen Protection Office (OPC), April 3rd, 2023, remembers Jean-Léopold Dominique "a great man, a rigorous journalist, a productive columnist who handled his pen with dexterity" also PDG after the takeover of the Haiti inter radio station, shot dead in Delmas as well as Jean-Claude Louissaint, guardian of the Radio station...

"[...] on April 3rd, 2023, 23 years later, the base is still there, lonely of course, because the smart press is not dead. They murdered a man, but not a profession, not a thought [...]"

The OPC, in this painful circumstance invites the workers of the press to keep lit the torch of excellence, of the professionalism that Jean Dominique carried.

"[...] April 3rd, 2000 - April 3rd, 2023, the assassins aroused vocations because the murdered Jean-Léopold Dominique as well as Jean-Claude Louissaint, the caretaker of the radio station Inter have not yet found justice and the assassins are still in the city, to repeat the words of the late director of radio Haiti inter," reminds the OPC.

For its part, the National Association of Haitian Media (ANMH) again wishes a serious investigation into this double assassination, denouncing that for 23 years the successive Governments have done nothing to do justice to Jean-Léopold Dominique.
