Haiti - Carnival 2013 : 14 of the 15 musical groups confirmed

Thursday, January 31, Gilbert Bailly, Presdent of the Organizing Committee of the National Carnival 2013 which will be held this year in Cap-Haitien on 10, 11 and 12 February unveiled 14 of the 15 musical groups selected by the sponsors : Ambyans, Barikad Crew, Brothers Posse, Carimi, Djakout # 1, Koudjay, Kreyòl La, Rockfam, Septentrional, T-Micky, T-Vice, Team Lòbòy, Tropicana and Vwadèzil.
Asked about the absence of "Great" of the root music like Boukman Eksperyans and Ram, the President of the Committee did not wish to give an explanation, saying only that a 15th and final group will be added to this list.
Thus, a total of 25 floats will take part to the parade [15 musical and 10 allegorical].
22 queens and 32 kings from educational institutions in Cap-Haïtien, have already been selected and are currently undergoing training while stylists re working on their costume. In addition, nearly 1,000 other costumes are under preparation by local companies for artists and band disguisedwho will participate in the parade, on the 2km of the route.
