Haiti - Politic : Important meeting at the National Palace - Executive/CSPJ

Yesterday Tuesday, an important meeting was held at the National Palace, within the framework of advanced to establish the institution in charge of organizing the next elections, between the President of the Republic, Michel Martelly, accompanied by his advisers Me Gregory Mayard-Paul, Mr. Daniel Supplice and Me Youri Latortue, and the Superior Council of the Judiciary (CSPJ) represented by Me Mes Dilia Lemaire, Me Antoine Norgaisse, Me Alix Civil, Me Thiers Malette, Me Jean Etienne Mercier and the President this the Institution, Me Anel Alexis Joseph.

The discussions focused on the need and the urgency of finding a successful outcome to the conflict rampant within the CSPJ, in relation to the designation of its three members to serve on the College Transitional of Permanent Electoral Council (CTCEP).

Members of the Judiciary, who themselves admitted during the meeting that the crisis in CSPJ is primarily internal, proposed the postponement of the meeting with the Executive and decided to hold a concertertation between them.

In this spirit, they set a special meeting between them tomorrow Thursday, February 28 and promised to meet immediately after, under the auspices of "Religions for Peace" and the Executive, their their "representatives contested" [Patrick Métellus, Yves Benoit Jean-Marie et Salnave Exantus], currently serving in the Permanent Electoral Council (CEP) to solve the problem permanently.
