On the occasion of International Youth Day scheduled for August 12 and of his 7th birthday, the Junior Chamber International (JCI Haiti) on Monday launched his Fortnight of the active citizenship under the theme "Dare to act" (Oser Agir). Twenty activities such as open days, mobile clinics, sanitation campaign, conference-debates around the theme of active citizenship and training on entrepreneurship will be conducted from August 5 to 19 in eight departments of the country where the organization is present, with the exception of the Grande Anse and the Centre. All local organizational structures will therefore be mobilized in this direction.

"It is to prove the ability of young people to undertake community projects and bring them to take their destiny in hand," declared Jude Jean Jacques, President 2013 of JCI Haiti who insisted on the symbolic significance of the Fortnight of the active citizenship. Stressing that the JCI Haiti "will enjoy this f activities to celebrate not only the efforts of young leaders, but also to promote active citizenship as a driving force for real change in the country."
