Haiti - Security : New Chief of Police in Petit-Goâve... 19/09/2013 12:16:09
Wednesday, September 18, 2013, Charles François the former Chief Inspector of Fonds des Nègres was installed at the Court of First Instance of Petit-Goâve in the presence of Michel-Ange Gédéon, Departmental Director West of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) as the new head of the Office of Petit-Goâve. He replaces to this position, Commissioner Daniel Compère, which is transferred to the Directorate General of the PNH.
When installed, the new Chief of Police declared "I believe that with the cooperation of the Departmental Director of the West, we will have the chance to do our work in Petit-oâve [...] For more than three weeks, bandits attacked passersby [...] The Departmental Directorate of West chosen me to solve this problem together with it [...] I will protect and serve the people of Petit-Goâve in accordance with the motto of the institution and I will put the bandits of Curtis, Maro, Chabanne of Vialet out of harm [...] Users of the National Road #2, vehicle drivers will no loner have problem to use this route. This road will be fully secured."
