Haiti - Politic : Toward an out of the crisis in Petit-Goâve...
Thursday, Réginald Delva, the Minister of the Interior and Local Government went to Petit-Goâve to dialogue with members of different branches of local opposition "Petit-Goâve is blocked and this prevents the implementation of projects to the in favor of the municipality, the more quickly, we need to find a formula for the unblocking of the situation," he declared by saying "we will investigate the causes of this malaise to adopt measures in order to make good progress," but added that "the malaise reported by citizens, must be based on facts [...] is together with all the Petit-Goâviens, that we will solve the problems... My priority is the cartel of the Town Hall."

The Minister Delva promised to give quickly results of the meeting, while expressing optimism he stated "In the best delay, a new atmosphere will reign in Petit-Goâve and we will also look at the case of the victims. We are very close to a solution, significant advances have been made. The grievances of members of the opposition will be submitted to higher authorities shortly and a decision will be made. We will not remain indifferent to the troubles, shaking Petit-Goâve."

During his visit, the Minister met with families of victims of violence in Petit-Goâve.
