Haiti - FLASH : Earthquake 14 km from Port-au-Prince

Friday January 3, 2020 at 7:13 and 5 seconds of the evening an earthquake of a magnitude of 3.2 on the Richter scale, was recorded north of Port-au-Prince.
The epicenter was located at 18,690° latitude North and -72,278° longitude West at a depth of 19 kilometers, 14 km northeast of Cité Soleil and 20 km north of Pétion-ville.
For the moment, the regional office of the Directorate of Civil Protection has reported no damage or loss of life.
Recall that the previous day at 10:29 and 16 seconds of the evening, another earthquake with a magnitude of 3.3 on the Richter scale had been recorded southwest of Port-au-Prince.
The epicenter was located at 18.385° latitude North and -72.445° longitude Est at a depth of 12.7 kilometers, 20 km southeast of Jacmel and 24 km southeast of Léogâne.
Recall that Haiti is located in the middle of a vast system of geological faults resulting from the movement of tectonic plates from the Caribbean and North America, which explains the frequent earthquakes in the country.
