Haiti - Assassination of President Moïse : Rain of reactions (Part 3) 11/07/2021 12:35:23
Reacting to the assassination of President Jovenel Moïse, "The Holy Father expresses his sadness and condemns all forms of violence as a means of resolving crises and conflicts. He wishes for the dear Haitian people a future of fraternal harmony, solidarity and prosperity," declared Vatican number 2, Secretary of State Pietro Parolin, on behalf of Pope Francis convalescing after surgery. Former P.M. Joseph Jouthe : I am morally devastated to learn that armed individuals have cowardly assassinated President Jovenel Moïse. This barbaric, odious and inhuman crime orchestrated by enemies of the Nation and fervent supporters of chaos, is the worst punishment that bloodthirsty retrogrades can inflict on our country [...] Condemning, with this cruel assassination vehemently, I would like to present, in this painful circumstance, my heartfelt condolences to the First Lady of the Republic, Mrs. Martine Moïse, also injured. I also pass my thoughts on to his children and other members of his family. I take this opportunity to send my best thoughts of a good recovery to Mrs. Moïse. Former P.M. The FBH condemns without qualification this impressive show of force and presents its condolences to the relatives of the deceased as well as its wishes for recovery to his wife, Madame Martine Moïse."
