These officers were dismissed and sent before the Central Directorate of the Judicial Police (DCPJ).

Other police officers, who participated in the escape are currently subject to sanctions. However we still not known who paid these officers in cash and various gifts (Motorcycles, laptop etc...)

Note that since August 10 only 80 prisoners were captured and 249 are still on the run.

In addition, Sandra Honoré, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Haiti, informed Thursday that the Minustah had opened an investigation into the cause of the escape due to the fact that the Minustah participated in the training of prison officials, denying that this incident put into question the effectiveness of the support of the UN mission in the National Penitentiary Administration (APENA)
