Haiti - FLASH : Earthquake in the South East

Yesterday Sunday at 6:47 and 45 seconds on the evening an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.1 on the Richter scale, was recorded 6 kilometers northeast of Belle Anse (Department of South East).
The epicenter was located at 18.260° latitude North and -72.027° longitude West at a depth of 0.2 kilometers, 6km North East of Belle Anse, 43km South East of Port-au-Prince, 39km North West Anse-à-Pitre.
For the moment the regional office of the Directorate of Civil Protection has not reported any damage or loss of life.
Recall that Haiti is located in the middle of a vast system of geological faults resulting from the movement of tectonic plates in the Caribbean and North America, which explains the frequent earthquakes in the country.
