We handed our weapons and we want justice and police, give us a chance. We have taken this decision voluntarily, after having listened the advice of Father Miguel. We put our lives in his hands," declared the former Chiefs "rebels" of Curtis. Thereafter, Father Miguel Auguste and Me Deus Jean François, went to the Police Station where they they handed over weapons to the Divisional Inspector Charles François in the presence of Justice of the Peace of the city Me Jude Leandre, and representatives of Minustah, of PNH specialized body (CIMO, UDMO and BIM) and members of the press. Inspector Charles François welcomed the initiative, but said that the police did not stop along the way and will continue its task to serve, protect and especially to track the bandits, because Petit Goâve must definitely be pacified.
