Haiti - Football : FIFA puts Yves Jean-Bart on the sidelines and warns the Haitian Football Federation

Kenny Jean Marie, Director Member Associations of FIFA, in a correspondence addressed to Luis Hernandez President of the Normalization Committee Luis Hernandez writes "[...] Referring to the letters of February 24, 2023 that we received from Mr. Yves Jean-Bart and his lawyers [...] for all intents and purposes, we would like to point out that the Bureau of the FIFA Council decided on December 11, 2020, on the basis of art. 8 par. 2 of the FIFA Statutes, to appoint a Normalization Committee for the FHF https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-32508-haiti-flash-fifa-puts-the-haitian-football-federation-under-supervision.html thus relieving the executive committee of the FHF of its functions.
Finally, we would like to take advantage of this opportunity to recall that the member associations of FIFA, including the FHF, have the particular obligation to manage their affairs in complete independence and to ensure that no third party interferes improperly (cf. art. 14 al. 1 lit. i) in conjunction with art. 19 of the FIFA Statutes). Any breach of this obligation may lead to sanctions provided for in the FIFA Statutes, which may go as far as the suspension of the member association concerned, even if the influence of a third party does not is not attributable to the association in question (cf. art. 14 al. 2 and 3 of the FIFA Statutes) [...]"
Based on the reaction of FIFA, Jean-Bart will therefore not be able to return to the head of the FHF under penalty of seeing the Haitian Federation be seriously sanctioned...
